How to get rid of a dry flaky area in my cheek?

Half of my cheek is always flaky and doesn't feel smooth like the rest. I exfoliate and it will go away, but then comes back. Anyway I could remove this? Should I just use a scrub everyday?

Try a dermabrasion kit, I have one from Nutrimetics that is a type of moisturiser and a scrub - but the scrub has tiny grains and gets rid of up to 7 layers of dead skin apparently, it helps my skin feel way better. And rose hip oil! I put Rose hip oil on at night time and I love it.

Will any dermabrasion kit work?

Go to the dermatologist :) he'll tell you if it's normal or not and he'll gave you adapted products :)

Laura I have gone, but they usually give me products that don't even work. Also don't have the money to see one at the moment.

I think going to the dermatologist might be the best idea. dermabrasion could end up too harsh and might not help the real problem. I've had this happen before twice. The first time it went away with coco butter, the second time I actually was allergic to something. So you never know. good luck (:

I'm not sure, I've never used any other dermabrasion kit, some can just irritate the skin and be to rough, but this one isn't so that's why I like it.

I used to have the same exact thing. I'd exfoliate and then 1-2 days later my cheeks would be super dry/flaky. I never moisturized at night so I started using a vitamin C moisturizer before bed. I'm not sure if the vitamin C makes a difference or just the moisturizing. It made a HUGE difference! I don't have any dry patches anymore
