I'm going to Australia for six months, and was wondering if anyone has opinions on foundations for humid climates. I currently live in Colorado where the air is very dry, and I am worried once I go to Australia my make up will "melt" off my face. I am looking to decide between tarte Amazonian clay or kat Von d lock it tattoo. Opinions anyone??

Go for the Tarte. The Kat Von D is horrible. it's horrible for humid climates or any. It makes your pores look huge and it's very cakey.

I would definitely go with the KVD Lock It Tattoo foundation. I've heard a lot more good things about it than the Tarte foundation.
I would also make sure you invest in a good primer, finishing (not setting) spray, & setting powder. blotting sheets also help in humid/hot climates.

Any good primer suggestions? I am using the Ulta one now.

For primer, I really liked the Hourglass Veil Mineral primer. it absorbs oil which is really nice.
I also really like Too Faced Primed & Poreless. it's a little less pricey & does an amazing job at keeping makeup in place all day.

I agree with Kyra, the Tarte foundation was nire my favorite. I found it really hard to work with and it also flaked off throughout the day. I still have a whole tube of it and very rarely bother trying to use it. I haven't tried the KVD one personally though. I do really love her tattoo concealer though so I would recommend her brand. I also really love the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation. I have oily skin and it stays put very well. I agree with Kyra on the Hourglass primer too. It's great and helps keep stuff in place and oil free. The travel size is $18 and even though the bottle is small it lasted me like 2 or 3 months so I think it's a good investment if you can't splurge for the full size bottle (which is $52 or so)

Also some extras you may want to pick up or look into are the Tarte Amazonian clay setting powder and Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray. Both will help keep oil away on the go. The Tarte powder is great, I use it for touch ups daily. The setting spray would be nice for somewhere hot because it will feel kind of refreshing lol.

It's pretty humid here in Mississippi and I wear Kat Von D lock it foundation. I think I prefer Estée Lauder double wear though. I've never tried tarte but have heard good things.

I suggest the tarte powder foundation. personally I found the kat von d one to be so terribly thick and streaky.
