I love the urban decay primer potion, however the Elf $1 one has also worked great.

For a clear primer, I use the ELF one and it works really well. Normally I use the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded as a base and I find it lasts really long!

UD like the other ladies have said. they make like, 4 different Primer Potions tho :p
my favorites are Eden for matte shadows & Sin for shimmer shadows.

I also sometimes use my Tarte Maracuja concealer as an eye primer because it's creaseless & have never been disappointed. it works just as well as my Primer Potions (:

Urban decay primer potion in Eden,if I'm wearing matte eyeshadow.And Urban decay primer potion in Sin if I'm wearing shimmery eyeshadow! I also like the Original Urban decay primer potion!

I actually haven't found a "bad" eyeshadow primer.
If you're looking for cheap alternatives: diy primer (on youtube), elf, cream eyeshadows, or a concealer
More high quality pricier ones: UD primer potion, mac painterly paint pot, too faced shadow insurance
