I've never tried a gelatin mask before, I've made deep conditioners with DIY methods but I've never attempted, or seen, anything with gelatin.

I'm guessing this is for hair? Never heard of it.

Gelatin might be hard to wash off depending on your hair type, I for one
wouldn't try it on my super curly hair lol! But the gelatin is essentially collagen from fish, then you get all sorts of protein and fats from the egg and milk so the ingredients sound good to me :-)

Gelatin is collagen extracted from bones, hooves, sinew, etc. from animals, not just fish. (Really makes you think about your Jell-o in a different light huh?) It is a thickening/binding agent; I think that is the only purpose it would serve in this preparation. It certainly doesn't have any physical benefits.
I imagine that the lactic acid in the milk would help with product buildup, while the protein would help slightly with mild damage. Same with the egg: the yolk contains protein. Olive oil is humectant, and will help hair retain moisture from the conditioner. Essential oils are basically for smell, though some have antifungal properties that may reduce dandruff.
I think those ingredients should work IN THEORY; whether they actually do anything besides make a mess is a mystery.

Pintrest strikes again with a weird diy lol I don't see why the gelatin would help your hair, but by maybe holding the ingredients together. I'd skip this "hair mask" if I were you! Kinda reminds me of the funky recipes they used to make with Jell-o! D:
