I've been doing this since summer started! I still need a haircut but honestly the only thing I've noticed is that I like natural hair a lot more now

Yes it did. I still don't apply heat to it I just throw it up in a messy bun, pony tail or two braids... I will only straighten it the day I get married lol but I'm 18 I have a lot more years to go. you should try going without heat it's really not bad. good luck!

Wow! I'm going the whole summer without heat too!! My summer is about 8 weeks long tho. I'm hoping my hair will grow a little more for back-to-school.

I want to do it because I'm a competitive swimmer and all year my hair gets fried by the chlorine and my hair dryer because I swim in the mornings and evenings
So now that my swim seasons over I want to give my hair a break

If you want it to grow you should stop using the heat, it's definitely not going to grow if you use heat every single day.

I never use any heat, I never straighten, curl, or even blowdry.. Heat is really bad!

Yes it's totally worth it! My hair seemed SO much more shiny and healthy, and the split ends weren't as noticeable. Also my hair wasn't NEARLY as dry, and looked full of life and body (:

I did it last year! And the results were good. My hair naturally grows kinda fast though but I definitely noticed. I'll try to find a picture to show you how much it grew.

YES! My hair has gotten much longer and honestly it was thinning a lot before and I have pretty thick hair and since I stopped using heat it seems to have a lot more volume and thickness.

I haven't used heat on my hair for about a month now, and it actually has made a difference... I have taped in hair extensions, and usually by now the ends would be all split, but they're not :) my hair seems to me shinier too?

Well I have not been using heat now for a year and honestly my hair is so much thicker is growing a lot faster and healthier which is nice though I'm still missing my flat iron the struggles of wavy/curly hair :D

Because if health issues my hair falls out when I use any styling tools. Since going heat free in order to save my hair I've seen a huge difference. It's not as healthy as it could be because if my meds but it grows faster, is softer, and there is a noticeable difference in color and shine! It's been nearly 2 years since I slowly phased heat out of my life and I'm much happier and my hair is much healthier. I also employ other techniques for straightening and styling that don't include heat. Do the 6 weeks and see what happens! Who knows? Maybe you'll decide to keep going!
