Maybe you should try a gentle cleanser. I use to use so many stronger cleansers that barely did anything for me, from things like Murad, Proactive, Clearasil, and Philosophy. Then I thought maybe I'm doing too much and I switched to Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and my face hasn't been so clear in years!

I had terrible acne on my forehead and I told my doctor and she put me on birthcontrol because it helps control your hormones and after two weeks my skin cleared up and now I rarely ever get a pimple :) and I also started using a Aztec clay mask which pulls out all the impuritys, it made me break out at first but it's supposed too and I thibk that also helped with my acne a lot and black heads, it reallyy cleans out your pores, and the cleanser I use is neutrogena grapefruit face wash and it helps my face clear up and feel fresh but it didn't help much with the acne on my forehead :)

Don't use Proactive. It's bad for your skin. Try Neutrogenas Stress Control face wash.

@Yolande P....does it (African black soap) actually help with acne?? I've heard about it but I didn't know what it did.

I have found that the Neutrogena ones are pretty good...they haven't helped me a lot but they haven't ever broken me out.

I don't recomend proactiv I have a friend who use to struggle with acne a lot and she used proactiv yes her skin got clear but when she stoped using it she got her acne worse she had to go to the dermatologist So my recomendatiom is before trying any product visit your dermatologist as they will tell you what to do and what to use :)

I like the cetaphil cleanser. It won't make you skin dry and it's amazing and the cetaphil body bar is great too!! You can get it at wal mart

I went to the doctor around a month ago for school shits and I asked about my acne. My mom has told me it looks more like an allergic reaction the acne all across my forehead. Anyway, she said that proactive and X out were one of the best that actually deep clean your pores. With proactive, it starts to look worse in the beginning, but then you start to notice how it clears up.
