I don't know what category this goes under, because it's not technically hair.. But here it goes!
I've been thinking about getting laser hair removal for a while! I'm 17 years old, and I don't know shavings just too much of a hassle and I'm over it! I was going to do legs, arms, pits, and Brazilian! I just wanted to know the side effects and the whole process, if you've gone through it!
Worth it or nah?? Will it affect my hormones? Should I wait a few years?
Thanks in advance girlies 💕💕

I think it's best to stick with a razor but that's just my opinion

I don't know, I think a razor just makes it grow back thick and prickly! which irritates me A LOT

I have done my upper lip and in between my brow it hurts for me like bees stinging you repeatedly it also leave that area really red and raw for a week or so it also makes that area extremally sentsitve to sun. The whole process is long and very expensive. You have to het multiple treatments and it takes quite awile because you have to let all the hair grow to a certain length before they can do another treatment which can be quite awkwardish especially if you want to do your legs and armpits.

Shawna, did you think it was worth it though??
Carol, I've got thick hair everywhere due to shaving but baby hair on my face! So if I wanted to do my face, would that make it worse? Or what??
Melissa, I personally don't think any at home products will permanently get rid of hair! And if it does, I don't think it'd be good for your skin! I'd suggest doing it personally, but if you want to try it out you should! Check out the reviews or whatever!
Bo, I heard some hair grows back but it's barely and in patches? Do you think it was worth it or just a waste of money?? Also, what place did you do it at?

I have done laser on my face(upper lip, sideburns) because I got hairy genes XD but I didn't find the pain that unbearable. Have you gone for a consult? Beforehand, do your research on the place you will be getting it done. I have looked into bigger names like ideal image, but they are extremely expensive! I found a local spa that does it for a fraction of the price. Make sure the person is properly qualified or they can burn your skin if they are not properly trained. Before you go in for the appointment, you are supposed to shave all the hair off the area you are getting treated. Then you will go in and they will clean the area and start the hair removal. My spa gave me two tubes of numbing cream when I bought a package but I haven't used it so I can't say if it helps :/ If they do give you numbing cream, just follow the directions when applying. After they do the treatment, they may put some cortisone cream or aloe vera or something like that to soothe the skin. Also if you are going out into the sun and the area of skin is exposed, they should put sunscreen. Try and stay out of the sun or cover the area with clothing! Well I'm 15 (yeah I guess young but eh) so yes hormones will cause the hair to grow back when you get older or get pregnant but I think you should be fine at 17. I'm not an expert or anything so you should definitely consult a professional :) hope this helped a bit and good luck :)

I've had lasering done but not for hair! It feels like a red hot needle stabbing into your skin, I had to tell the lady to stop every 5 seconds, but it was bareable I think I was just nervous.

If you fine hair on your face what you should do to shave it and than go for laser but don't do it if your facial hair isnt annyoing you don't go thru it pluse there is difference between IPL and Laser ipl it hurt less takes time more they mostly use it for face...anw I still agree that if you know where to go you will have amazing result I did it..it took time but I achieved great result..but if you have hormonal imbalance it might nt work so be careful otherwise you must get a result
