Does snipping the tips of your every 6-8/8-12 weeks help hair growth? I don't want to be cutting my hair faster than it grows!

Doesn't help the growth
but it helpa maintain health of your hair and strength reducing breakage.

I get my hair trimmed twice a year and thats it, when you trim it trim no more then an inch at a time

It'll keep it healthy probably, but I don't know if it would help with growth since hair does grow from the roots.

It doesn't necessarily help with growth, but it keeps it healthy and if you cut it only when you have split ends you may be cutting more than if you cut regularly (: but either way works; it's all your preference! I personally cut when I have split ends just bc I can't afford to trim my hair every 6 weeks.
