I have coarse hair!! And my hair color right now is a dark ash brown with some black in it still. I want to go blonde which volume developer should I use?

Well going blonde is going to be a process, your not going to get it in one go unless you want your hair to break. For developer, the lower the developer, like 10, the easier it is on your hair compared to what the damage a 40 vol developer will deliver. The higher the volume the more damaging (quite possibly) and faster itll lift the color.

From my natural dark brown to get my hair to a white/grey color, I had to do two rounds of 20 and then a 40, but at the salon and they knew what to do based on the specific person. If you're doing it yourself you're better off doing 20, maximum two a day, and make sure you tone with a purple shampoo. Your hair might be yellow for one day, just wear a turban if you need to leave the house but please don't bleach it too much on the same day, stressed hair is the worst!

I agree with 20-30, probably 30. Go to Sally's and they will reccomend what they think is best!

My streaks, afters a month of toning, are now white... they tinted with grey and blue mix.. I only processed once.

I just used color oops and it pulled out most of the black but nt all now I'm left with dark ash brown with a lil tint of black.

I would dye my hair a lighter brown and then dye it blonde later. (So it doesn't freak people out)
