I like the look of dark roots, I personally think it looks really nice. I instantly thought it looked really edgy and cool. With some slightly loose/tight curls, it would look even better.

I agree with the overgrown roots. Its not bad but I just don't like it blends together like an ombre should. My favorite ombre is definitely Lea's Micheles

The hairdresser should've taken more foils higher up, closer to the roots to blend it through, it's not a disaster, however I would ask to speak to one of the senior stylists and show them the pic you showed the hairdresser and get their opinion. The only criticism I have of the hairdresser is she made it so blunt.
On a positive, the hair cut you have really suits you, very trendy!

Call salon and speek to owner or person in charge. The one side is perfect. The other side just need more foils to blend it. Easy fix, and should be done free of charge. Be surs to tip though. It looks very good though, just needs more blending.

It honestly looks really good! I love the dark roots, it's just that one side that should be brought up a little higher. I agree with everyone who says you should call. If they're true professionals they won't mind at all fixing it. You spent a lot of money and deserve to be happy with your hair!
