How exactly do you apply each one? I know bronzer is where the sun would hit your face, but where exactly? & I know you apply both by the cheeks, but what is the difference in placement?

Agree with Renay. And bronzer is supposed to be applied in a general, large areas whereas contour shade are to bring out features, so the placement is more precise. If that makes sense

I think everyone does it differently. I first apply my contour, then I apply my bronzer right above it. I also sweep it up over my temples & a little on the center of my forehead. Most people highlight the middle of my forhead, but I want that part of my face to visually recede, thats why I apply it there. I also dab a little on my nose & chin. I do this lightly. If you didn't know me, you wouldn't even notice the bronzer. Then I apply blush on the upper apples of my cheeks OVER the bronzer.

Trace an oval on your face with your fingers. anything outside of it should be contoured, depending on how your face shape is. always go for the cheek bone and the sides of your face. outside of that oval should be lightly contoured. what ever makes you look beautiful.

Bekah, I'm no expert but I am almost 100% positive it doesn't go into the hollows, but on too of your cheek bones..correct me if I'm wrong?

Contouring is not one size fits all. It's a technique where shadows are mimicked or accentuated in certain areas of the face to alter it's dimensions and add depth, and it should be applied in different area to every person according to their face shape. You should never contour with bronzer! The majority of bronzers have reddish undertones because they are designed to warm the face, not sculpt it. To contour you should be using cool, almost grey tones to mimic the colour a shadow would naturally be on your face - otherwise you'll just look muddy and like you have too much bronzer on! Bronzer is best used as a finishing touch to bring life & warmth back into the face - apply with a very light hand on top of the cheekbones, around the jaw and on the temples. Many recommend the bridge of the nose although it's not a technique that I favour.
