You ladies think dying hair at home and salon makes a big difference?

Depends! Going darker is ok but going lighter I suggest the salon.

If you know you're doing with everything then doing it yourself turns out a lot cheaper than going to a salon.

Absolutely, Professionals have access to better products, knowledge of the color wheel, and bases. The color available to the public the consumer has no idea long it's been sitting on the shelf, no general knowledge of what they're doing, and no idea how to fix if an undesirable result occurs. There's a reason professionals do go to school and continue education on new trends etc..Color correction is much more expensive than just getting it done right the first time. After a color service your hair can feel like you just got a conditioning treatment, you've been in your stylists chair relaxed without playing guessing games on what color your hair will turn out to be. Everyone deserves that experience.

A huge difference.
If you can afford it always go pro!
I only do my hair at home because I can't currently afford pro color. Even going darker, you will get much healthier, prettier results from a pro.
If you are going to color at home, I would research and learn how to mix your own pro color and skip box dyes.

Well I got ny hair partially bleached at the salob whixh I paid over a buck and the hair on the bottom half came out darker than the top I'm thinking my hairdresser will be able to fix it or even it out but instead she let me go home like that and told me to come back in 2 weeks are they here we'll get to damage what I expected her to know what she was doing knowing that I had black in my hair before because she was a professional I left very dissatisfied not getting the results I wanted.

I use pro color at home. My hair is halfway down my back and I can no longer afford to go pro. That said, I've spent a lot of time learning how to use those products and learning from a friend who is a stylist.
You can learn to do it at home, but I agree, if you can go pro do it.
Most beauty schools offer reduced rates so students can get experience. You might want to check into that too.

I like to do it myself at home. when I went to the salon it did not come out the color I wanted annnd it broke all of my hair off. I do NOT have this issue when I do it myself and I am always pleased with the outcome.

I prefer doing it myself. I've never had color from a salon I was happy with. Do you research though. you can learn a lot about hair coloring online. And learn what you can about color theory- I took art classes in college but you can find stuff online too.
