I know a lot of us do it... No shame. Just how can I stop before it causes severe scarring damage?

I use to pick everyday and I found that when I stay on a good skincare regimen I don't pick hardly ever because I start to feel pride in how nice my shin looks.

Its sooo hard not too. just keep reminding yourself that your doing more damage then good. doing that most always makes it worse and prolongs healing time. I have a small one right now that I messed w I even went and got a shot at the derm and its still there. if I hadn't touched it in the first place it woulda been gone

Try a hot compress to pull the gunk out rather than picking. Also, get a good salicylic acid treatment for night. Clean and Clear has one in a silver tube with small end - I can't read the name anymore, but the good news is that it lasts forever ;-)

Neosporin or polysporin. They are medicinal creams made to heal cuts/wounds. They work quickly to rebuild skin and moisturize enough to prevent scarring. Sounds pretty perfect for an open pimple right? I dab a bit on the popped acne and bandaid it overnight. Gone in the morning.

I swear by 'Alba' brand acnedote toner. put it on with cotton ball after your usual cleansing, and you'll immediately notice a difference. it's my FAVE!! when I get a zit, they are huge! using that will make it go down in a couple hours and by next day, virtually gone. I get it at Wal-Mart in the organic all natural section. it's a bit of a pricier drugstore item, but so so worth it!
