Can Bleach Affect Colour of New Hair Growth?

I bleached my hair about two months ago to dye my hair blue and I naturally have half golden honey blonde and half light brownish hair so the bleached product is a few shades lighter. Over the last bit I've noticed that my new hair growth doesn't look a whole lot different from the bleached colour.
So, does bleach at all affect the colour of your hair as it's growing in? This is making me worry cause I LOVE my natural hair colour

I don't think so. I've bleached my hair & had highlights & my hair always grows back black.

Thanks for replying.
The main reason I had to ask was because a friend of mine said her hair was growing in lighter than her natural dark brown and said it's probably because she bleached it.

Once put dye or bleach on your roots, it'll forever change Your hair color even with new growth... my mom used to bleach her hair when she was younger and now her hair is darker than it was naturally.
