Could this be the cause? And anyway to fix it?

So I sometimes get migranes and I'm kinda wondering if it's because my hair is really long and pretty heavy and I keep it up out of the way from my son who likes to pull my hair lol and I was wondering if this could be causing my headaches and I won't cut it cause my hair has never been this long and I get so many compliments and my sister pulls it to make sure it's not fake lol so cutting it is out of the question but is there anything else I can do?

I tend to get migraines if put it up in a ponytail to tightly. Try a low pony tail at the nape of you neck or a loose high pony but when you take it through the hair and for the last time don't pull all the way and leave a bit tucked up

Definitely agree to try low ponys or scrunchees to make your pony tails less tight. You can also go and get layers or get it thinned to keep the length but change the weight. If it's not your hair I would ask your doctor about it and see what you can do.

You could definitely keep the length but try going to a salon so they can thin it out :)

Ok thanks I will think about those ideas and I need and want to see a neurologist about it but I can't afford it right now because my insurance isn't that great

I had this problem when I had long hair too. very heavy and anytime I put it up it made it worse. it went completely away when I cut my hair shorter.

They will get you an mri, ct scan and take your bloodwork and if that comes all back ok then I'm afraid if you have migraines there's isn't a cure for it. My friend used to get them very bad and all the time and the doctors couldn't do anything for her, but then she went to a holistic alternative healer and she hasn't gotten them since. I've lost my faith in doctors, I have a serious condition (came out of the blue last august) and ever since then I've been having to nag and nag doctors for results, consultations. Its ridiculous. Go to an alternative doctor if you can.

My sister has to get her hair thinned periodically because of how thick it is. maybe try that.

as for migraines, I get them bad. I get the kind that will make me have to sit or lay down for days on end or else I will vomit. I eventually got sick of being sick so to speak. so I started drinking more water and green tea, use a tablespoon of honey a day on my toast or in tea, as long as I have the honey, and an overall diet haul and everything I get is organic (I like meat and eggs so I could never go vegan haha). it has helped tremendously. I still get migraines, but I don't get them face as frequently or as debilitating as I used to.

tl;dr get your hair thinned out and try changing your diet for a month or so
