Opi is sooo much better, essie doesn't seem like it meets up to the hypr it always chips off! my cheaper covergirl nail polish last wayyy longer!

It's just a personal preference. I like both tbh. Opi has a wider color selection but Essie always goes on perfectly. It never gets thick. I found a 2 yr. old bottle and it still isn't thick lol.
