Okay so I have a foundation brush and I've seen so man people use it to put on their foundation but when I use mine with my foundation it looks like I painted it on and looks like wet paint on my skin so I have to use sponges to smooth it out or just apply it in general. Any tips please?

I've tried both ways and both ways come out with the same look and I don't want to keep overusing foundation and look cakey.

Maybe you're using too much? Try just putting a little onto a mixing palette or just the back of your hand then instead of patting the product on try small circular motions. I use a standard foundation brush every day with this technique and I tap any lines out with my fingers and it looks great every time!
