What would you say is a proper tip to give your hairdresser? like if you just had a blow out $5 enough or dye and blow out 10?

Standard is 15-20% but with a dye I usually do 50$ & a cut 15$

Depends on where I go. My old hairdresser, I would bring her plants if she gave me a free treatment - stop in, say thanks, give her an awesome plant. Other times, I give a 5 dollar tip. My newest hair dresser, I have a six dollar tip (just a cut, not a wash - I hate when my hair gets washed). It really just depends

I usually do 15-20%. Sometimes I'll do 15% and round up to the next $10 increment if 20% is a bit out of my budget.

Usually $20, but if we do foils or something that takes longer $40.

What if your hair dresser was the salon owner as well? I only ask because last time I came in got a treatment with wash blow and flat iron was around 40 I gave her 45and I sensed she wasn't too happy with that judging by the way she looked at me lol I didnt mean to be rude if I was but jeez a girl have to feed her kids too lol.

Still 20%. salon owners.sometimes make less then their stylists do. on a $40 bill I would of tipped $8 to $10. especially if you have a lot of hair or.if its curly and takes extra time to straighten.
