I exfoliate with St. Ives apricot scrub. I know it seems weird but I use it on my knees and elbows.

Grab half a lemon and cover it with sugar (preferably not icing sugar) and exfoliate knees. Try to avoid direct sunlight afterwards, so I suggest you do it before going to bed.
