You could put a semi permanent color on it. I'm actually letting mine grow out 2 but I'm just going to let it be crappy until I can't stand it :)

Agree ^^^ Letting the hair grow out is the hardest, but the best solution, I am doing that as well.

L'Or?al Inoa is a good solution too, if you're looking to dye, only keep it close to your natural colour, it doesn't damage one bit but its salon colouring.

I'm worried about it turning an odd color since it is red. I don't want to just let it grow since just hair is all the way down my back and it will take a long time to get it time grow all the way out without loosing just length. is there a way to kind of fade the red into the Brown like a ombre so it won't look so harsh?

You could try fading it by washing it with a non color safe clarifying shampoo and conditioner (or non color safe hair products) everyday but that could hurt your hair. I've colored my hair red so many times and usually it'll fade out to barely a tint. It just takes a little time but I can't guarantee it'll do the same for you since I've heard some red sticks to certain individuals. For me it's the fastest fading color.

Just going to throw it out there...my hair is naturally the same color as your brown and I dye red too. My reds are really bright and I haven't had a problem with it turning weird colors when taking it back to brown. if you decide to just get a brown box dye to cover the red, make sure it's a straight shot color like light medium or dark brown. don't get 'golden brown' or anything like that. the tones in those dyes will add some odd variations in color sometimes and end up turning out a little weird?? good luck growing out your color??

Thanks! My red usually stays pretty vibrant. I'm going to try and find a dye to hopefully cover it. Thank you.
