Way to sleep with protecting your hair.

Everyone says don't sleep with wet hair or don't leave the ends out but I take my showers really late at night and I don't use blow dryers so how can I put my hair it from damaging? And I'm not wanting to do any special styles cause I'm just going to leave it natural tomorrow.
