Hello everyone! At my school, prom is going to be in April, not sure what exact day. Now, I've never really put too much thought in prom. I'm not going. For those of you who went to prom, how was your experience? Did you enjoy it? Is it worth going? And those of you who are planning to go to prom, are you excited? What kind of dress do you have in mind? I'd like to know! Feel free to post pics! :D.

I was skeptical about going to prom because I didn't really feel like paying loads for a dress that I would wear just for one night. I managed to find a reasonably priced one thought and I went with my best friends and let me tell, it was one of the best nights of my life. It was totally worth going because you get to see everyone one final time and you get to enjoy yourself. And I agree with Lili deffo take comfortable shoes haha

To be honest prom was one of the best and worst nights. My now fiancé and I spent the whole night trying to make each other jealous :P (we were best friends and dating other people at the time). So not being there with him sucked, but at the same time I had an amazing time dancing with my girlfriends and singing along to every song at the top of my lungs :) I would have been sad if I missed out on those awesome moments with my friends

At my school the junior and senior prom is combined into one. I didn't go last year as a junior because I couldn't afford it at the time.
The theme this year it "The Great Gatsby" and I am so excited. It's one of my favorite movies and I really love old classic glamour.
I also hate the idea of spending so much money on a dress that I will only wear once, so I plan on going with a unique kind of prom dress. I want to wear a longsleeve gown because I could possibly wear it again one day. I also think it would be really nice because it will stand out in a sea of halter and strapless dresses.
Basically I want something like this, but I'd like for it to be gold or silver with a bit of sparkle and shine :-)
