Believe it or not I've never got my nails done. Lol I know terrible. I've been reading through some posts and it seems like there's different kinds?? Just curious what the differences are.

Gels! Acrylics are really bad for your nails.

It depends, for me.
if I'm doing my nails at home I like to do Shellac because it lasts a lot longer & I'm too lazy to do my nails most of the time. when I go to a salon & get them done I like to get gel (but mostly solar) nails.

With acrylic you can actually get something called an "overlay"...where they just put the product (gel/acrylic) over your real nail without adding a tip. you don't necessarily need to add a tip if your nails are already the length you want.
