I love Karina F's Post. My advice to not look cake is to make sure your face is prepped well for foundation - clean & moisturized after your face is well prepped I would say start will a small amount of foundation first dot it all over your face then with a damp sponge you blend it in. Also if you prefer to take multiple steps another tip is to apply your foundation with a foundation brush then go in with a damp sponge and blend it in. The damp sponge will give your foundation a more airbrush look and again the sponge will absorb some access foundation. The reason you want your sponge to be damp is so it won't completely remove most of your foundation. I hope I was clear and was about to help you out. Please let me know if this helped and how it all worked out. -Catalina.

Prep your skin for makeup. Exfoliate, moisturize, apply primer, apply right amount of foundation not too much just a thin layer if you need more coverage apply a second thin layer, use a beauty blender or stippling brush for applying foundation, conceal with thin layer and blend well with beauty blender or concealer brush (sigma has a good precision brush for blending concealer), powder just where you need it not all over the face last use a setting spray or MAC fix+ it helps to take away the cakeyness (is that a word).

Although setting spray is not necessary if you follow the above steps

I'm not in love with the Benefit Wow foundation either. I use a flat kabuki brush to apply and only do one side at a time because it dries fast. I like to pay it in. I'm running into oil problems as well and it starts to really settle so I will follow this thread. :)
