So I'm getting extensions soon and I have a few questions!
1. What's better? Microbead or tapes?
2. Do they ruin your hair that badly?
3. What's a good price to pay for each??
Any help would be great! x

Microbead if you are looking for reliability with very little self maintenance. Aside from having them pushed up as they grow out...it's a fantastic way to have great locks for a very long run. If you take care of them..they last and can be reused later if you'd like after removal. An experienced hairdresser should be able to not only put them in, but push them up with a quickness. Some people prefer a V formation, while others do rows. V formations take longer and may cost more, but work for those who wear their hair up lots. Tapes are sturdy, but not a long term solution in my view. They can slip and honestly...I'd rather see you invest in quality clip ins than tapes. Clip ins you cannot tug and must be gentle with removal or you're just going to yank your hair and cause breakage or patches. Used properly..clip ins are fun..but again..it depends on if you have the skill and patience to blend them properly..are looking for shorter term solutions and color them to match your hair. My personal recommendation would be a killer stylist who can order you World of Hair I tips. They are of amazing quality...virgin hair..just gorgeous and will last you a very long time. If you do not know someone in the industry, however, they will be hella expensive. Still...cared for and properly maintained you should see minimal damage aside from needing a trim in the ends when removed. I have friends that have grown their hair back long and healthy with them in. It may come down to a money issue. :/

P.S. With any extensions, a wet brush is a great $7 investment. They are gentle, detangle and don't snag. You can get one at most drugstores, chain stores or beauty supply. Good luck!
