It should cause minimal damage because you've never dyed your hair before, go for it, It'll look great :) also, you have really pretty eyes!

Depending on the thickness of you hair, I don't think any damage. Try it!! I enjoyed my ombré for 3 years.

Anytime you highlight or apply lightener to the hair, it's going dry out. It's just up to you to manage it on deep conditioning it once or twice a week to add moisture and protein back in.

Would it be possible to get a light brown colour on my hair without bleach? X.

Sorry, that one is a no-go. There are some pretty kind bleaching methods out there now if you're willing to spend more, though.

I actually recently got my hair ombréd and I am in love! Like you, I'd never dyed my hair before and was tired of what I'd had my whole life. I was also nervous about the bleach and what it would do, so my hairdresser actually just used the blondest hair dye they had that did not have bleach in it. It made the tips like a caramel color, which was really nice! It definitely works but the ombré is very subtle. There wasn't much damage to my hair at all. Two weeks later I decided I wanted to go even blonder. So I went back to the same lady and she used bleach. It gave me the perfect blonde color I wanted! I will be honest, there is twice the damage then there was before, but it still is nothing compared to people's hair I have felt that dye their hair twice a month. It is a bit less soft on the tips and I have more split ends. In my opinion though, it's totally worth it. My hair is wavy curly and similar to yours and it looks awesome to me! Go for it though, you can always cut off the ends if you hate it!

I have hair kinda like yours and I got ombré a few months ago. My aunt did it for me. She bleaches my ends then dyed them brown again. It totally freaked me out at first because I had never dyed my hair. Totally worth it though!! As for the damage, my hair has been more split, dry, and breakable. I just started putting coconut oil in it once a week and it's back to healthy!! So do it!! Just take care if your hair after. (I just try not to use heat, do hair masks, and use split end shampoo)
