I have no idea where to put this, but I'll try here. This may be a dumb question, but I was wondering if it is at all possible to work as a hairstylist, or esthetician and attend university full time? Or, is that just not possible??
Thanks in advanced!

If you're determined and focused I'd say go for it. I would take it slow with classes the first semester to get back into things but I wish you the best!

I disagree annika yes she may have to make sacrifices but I totally think working & going to school both full time is possible... I had 2 full time jobs & a part time job all at the same time plus I had 3kids at the time I definitely made sacrifices but I came out knowing that I was capable of that & more
determination faith & sacrifice 3 things that can surprise you about urself
stay strong & keep smiling Alissa

Yes if you are able to take classes twice a day all day. For example mon and wed. Keep in mind salons busiest days are Fri and Sat. If you come to a point where you feel overwhelmed keep your focus on what you want the most.

If your question was is it possible to go to cosmetology school and university full time my answer is NO. Cosmo school is full time mon to fri. You have to complete 1800 hours and if you go part time youll end up getting frustrated and quit...

Patricia P. it depends on the school. I went to a college not a "beauty school" and I knew plenty of girls who did it part time, worked and raised a family or did it part time and worked two jobs. Also she didn't say she was going to Cosmo school. She said university not college or Cosmo school.
Anyways I say go for it! You have support here girl! ❤

Of course its possible, hard yes. Nothing in life is worth having if it comes easy. Thats what I always say. I am getting my bachelors degree in Business Marketing, I am a junior in college. and I take everything online thru distance education. This maybe be an option for you and will really help you a lot if you want to be a hairstylist makeup artist and a student. :))

It is possible to go to school full time and still work as an esthetician. I am doing it right now. You just have to get the right balance of work and school. Good luck Alissa you can do it!!

You CAN do it! I didn't do that particular combo, but worked full-time for the NBA and went full-time for my Masters in teaching. It's not easy, but you sound like you're entering this with your eyes open! Hopefully online course these days can help give flexibility to your schedule! And to echo what others have said...we're here for you!

Love, I am working full-time at the hospital working 12 hour night shift AND attending school full time for my degree in nursing. it's not easy but you must be determine and motivated. true enough you may not have time to go out and have fun or going out with your friends but all of that will be worth it in the end once you complete your schooling. I believe in you mama. go for it.
