You can not lighten your hair without damage. I get this at the salon all the time. My suggestion would be to put dark back into your hair at your part and in a few other places so its not noticeable as it grows out. Kind out like having blonde underneath. If you want to be blonde, you have to come to the reality that its a lot of upkeep, you'll need a root retouch every 6 weeks, it's expensive, and it damages your hair. Some people naturally have more resistant hair then others. If I went blonde, I would end up with a bob, because my hair is too fine. There's nothing I can do about that. Don't fight with nature gurl, you can't win :)
