Hi lovlies,

what are your favourite home-made beauty products? Do you make your face peelings, body scrubs, lip balms, hair masks, teeth whiteners, and so on, at home or do you always buy them?

I'm trying to live a little healthier by eating more unprocessed food and not putting too much chemicals on my body and hair. Do you know any good home-made beauty recipes?

Cheers,
Miffi :-)

I use plain yogurt to soothe and brighten. Honey with a hint of sweet almond oil on occasion. I also use Apricot Oil and Sweet Almond, as well as Coconut Oil (Cold Pressed/Extra Virgin) as make up removers, skin moisturizers, and on my ends to condition my hair. Brown Sugar or unrefined sugar with vanilla and coconut oil is a great body and lip scrub. Coconut Oil is great for shaving legs as well.

I do a hand scrub once a week. I just put a handful of sugar in my hand and pump my favorite soap on top. Rub it all over your hands and then just wash it off. My hands always feel super soft after.

Occasionally when I want a body or face scrub. I just add baking soda to my body or face wash. I like the mildly gritty texture instead of the really grainy textures the regular scrubs have.

No problem before I even say anything lol a lil disclaimer cause ppl tend to freak out over random things haha but I use this mask because my hair was Ligit falling out n yes I've been to a doctor and I'm fine I much rather use natural product that why I made this and second this mask is not going to be used once and then look like a shampoo commercial with amazing luscious hair lol you will see improvement over time and ginger is used for a lot of health benefits but one is that it stimulates blood flow which helps with your hair growth

I use about an inch of ginger root with oil and I switch up the oil often I mainly use coconut almond or jojoba oil this also helps with dandruff

I love this homemade mask, which consists of oatmeal, honey, plain yogurt/milk. I put the dry oats in a blender to mill them into a fine consistency, like powder. So that I don't have to keep preparing them like that, I mill a good amount and store it in a ziplock bag so that they are always ready for me. For the mask, get some of the finely milled oats, put some milk or plain yogurt, then put the honey and stir it into a paste. Apply to face and leave on for like 15 minutes or however long you want. When washing it off, I gently rub my skin in circular motions to help exfoliate my skin. This method is amazing on my skin.

My go-to is my lemon sugar scrub. Brown sugar, juice of half a lemon, and olive oil. before I shower I rub it all over my body for extra smooth and hydrated skin. Also for daily exfoliating of my face , I used a dab of organic coconut oil and baking soda. The baking soda is gentle enough for everyday, helps with scars and the organic coconut oil is the best for skin.
