Contouring on freckles!

Ok so my face has so many freckles on it, it literally looks like I smudged bronzer all over my face. I use foundation but not heavy coverage as I hate the way it looks and it breaks me out. I use a medium coverage, so my freckles still peek through a bit. When I contour my face (I do it with a foundation a few shades darker), it looks really strange since my face is two different colours from my freckles and my actual skin tone. Can anyone give me any ideas on how I can contour my face without looking ridiculous! Thanks xx

I think choosing a contour in a shade that is in-between your skintone & your freckle color would look the most natural.
