New Urban Decay Naked Basics palette

What do you think? I'm excited Urban Decay have made an all matte palette, even if the shades are already in their other Naked palettes. I think every makeup artist needs a basic matte palette and since Urban Decay is my go to for eyeshadows I'm glad I can add this to my kit.

From what I've seen so far, there's a lot of people that are disappointed with it and were hoping for something more original. But I think its a great place for UD to start with (maybe) adding more matte shades to their product line up.

What are your thoughts?

I think it's lame. The company itself has annoyed the hell out of me already this year and they've been annoying me even more with releasing the same BS over and over. Enough of the NAKED. In fact, enough of the eyeshadow palettes and eyeliners in general. Urban Decay, you have items in your brand that aren't just eyeliner pencils and eyeshadows. Look at those and work with those for a year or so and then go back to your eyeshadow palettes. Your imagination is lacking.

I definitely see where you ladies are coming from. I am quite tired of the naked everything. I think I just like these from a makeup artist's perspective as something to keep in your kit for your basic neutrals. I don't own either of the nakeds either and don't plan on buying them so I guess that's another reason I think this is kind of neat. I also agree that they really should branch out into some other products and stop relying so heavily on their eyeshadow. I love it to death but when I look at all my UD products, its literally almost all eyeshadow or other eye products. I'm very much about eye makeup specifically but other things would be nice. I just hope this palette will be the beginning of them maybe putting out some more matte shades, whether they be new or not. I think a lot of people would enjoy that and it would give them a little more variety to their brand. But overall, they do just need to bust out some more things that either aren't eye products or are really spectacular eye products.

I don't care what any one says, I am going to get it. It has some really great shades. I think a good option for those who don't want to spend $50 on a Naked Pallette.

I've been saying for years that UD should add more matte shades to their shadow collection, but I do think this palette is lame. I have both Naked palettes, so I'm not going to get this & I already have matte shads similar to this from MAC. They need to come out with a wider range of mattes, not just their neutrals. All-in-all though UD is one of my fave brands.

Im very happy that they're coming out with this. I really do not like shimmery browns, blacks and taupes so I really don't like the Naked and Naked2 Palletes , but im deff going to be purchasing this.

I wish is was bigger :( and I way them to come out with some new fun colors that don't have a ton of glitter I like shimmer but their glitter gets everywhere love my naked pallet wish the mate one was just as big id pay a full 50 for a full matte palette
