So much for chip-proof for weeks!

I haven't even had my gel manicure a week, and look what has happened! The polish on my middle finger completely peeled off in one chunk, I've got little chips here and there, and on my left thumb, there's another big chip.

Is it because the gal who did my mani had to use so many coats of polish (3 coats of color, 2 coats of top coat)? Just ugh!

Oh dear! Now she is not an expert! I mean I use ma factor nail varnish even that chips and peels!! Even the expensive stuff are crapp. I would go back and complain.

Honestly I have a lot of experienced with this stuff , and for me normal polish lasts longer than gel. Gel peels off and of like a hair gets stuck I. It or a little piece comes off the whole thing comes off when normal polish stays so long for me.

I've used gel for 3 years and that's never happened to me. Maybe she didn't cure them for long enough?

I had the same problem once, but when I went back they were really rude about fixing it. They said that because the bottle said 'up to' 2 weeks, that happens. They fixed it anyway, but yea, that's never any fun. especially when you're dropping a lot of $ on a mani.

With gels etc.if they get any of the polishes on the skin or cuticles it will lift off. These are mine after almost a month. The nail technician should always leave a very fine line between nail edge etc.and the gel.

It sounds like she didn't prep the nail properly, I.e the nail bed is greasy or oily and it hasnt been cleaned properly. which is basic stuff if your a technician. I would go back, that service is ridiculous.

Thats not suppose to happen. She may have used regular polish instead of the gel polish. Gel manicures do not peel off.
