In all my 22 years, I have never experienced body acne. Until this week.

I presume the cause of this acne was my own doing - I'd been too lazy to go to the store and buy more lotion so I began using a bath oil/body oil I had on hand instead.

Now my chest, back, upper arms, and to some degree, the outsides of my thighs are covered in tiny dots of cystic acne. A few cysts are larger and red. They appeared about a week ago, and I have since stopped using body oil to moisturize, as well as discontinued the use of oil in the bath.

I switched to non-comedogenic cetaphil body lotion. I shower daily and exfoliate gently with salicylic acid-containing bliss body wash.
I've also tried exfoliating in an unscented Epsom salt bath.

SO FAR I HAVE SEEN NO IMPROVEMENT
As of today I have even cut dairy out of my diet, in case the hormones might be exacerbating the issue.

As I said before, body acne has NEVER been a problem for me. I really need it to go away now, as I often wear backless/lowcut dresses to work and will feel self conscious if my acne is apparent to others.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do expedite this process!! Or at least, provide me with an estimate of how long this will take to go away 😞

Thank youu

Honestly, it could be hormones, especially for women. & not milk hormones, lol. hormones is one of the biggest causes of body acne in adults. I would talk to your doctor about it because cleansers & scrubs won't do much. he/she can prescribe you something to balance out your hormones & hopefully get your acne to go away (:

Try the Murad body acne spray- you spray it on after your shower and since it stays on the skin it will be more effective than just using a body wash. You can also swipe acne pads (such as noxema) over any problem areas.

If you haven't seen any improvements the fastest way to get rid of it would be by going to a dermatologist. Good luck girl!
