Do you bargain your services with clients such as your prices? Or do you not work with some clients? I know I do not work with South Asian brides as much because they always want to bargain for services even though you have a set price for everything. What do you do in those situations?
I hate bargaining for my services plus all the great products I use in my kit.

Sometimes if a client that is also a friend has a service I need, we work in trade, like my photographer friends. I need a photographer often and they need hair makeup services, plus they refer others to me so I get what I want and more paying clients at the same time.

Thanks for your input. I have actually not gotten many clients like that since they think my price is too high but in DC prices are high for everything. I have a photographer who has a bride and wants makeup done but this is a real wedding. They want me to come on location do her makeup and only charge me $30.00 I did not think that is fair. I am using my time and quality products to give her the services plus going there.

NEVER!!
If they aren't willing to respect my prices, they aren't the client for me.

I agree with you Nicol because I have put hard work in building my kit and have worked to get clients. It's not right that they want to bargain for services we give them. Thanks for your input.

Do not undersell yourself. Remember to think about your products, your time, and your gas. Some clients are like that but you just gotta deal with them. This industry is so competitive and hard. Trust me on that girl.
