As the weather gets warmer this topic will be brought up more and more...so I wanted to share something I recently found on this issue that wars like a giant gulp of fresh air.
I was scrolling through pinterest when I stumbled across an article entitled "modesty is annoying" curious as to what this author's opinion of modesty is, I tapped and began reading... http://jlgerhardt.tumblr.com/post/61400368299/why-I-hate-talking-about-modesty-and-why-I-do-it
*disclaimer the end of the article goes into a more religious interpretation. however, take the religion out of this message and I believe its still very powerful; being someone who's not religious.

It isn't telling you to throw modesty away yet it points out key issues.

I believe that modesty has more to do with trying to manipulate others with one's physical self. that can be done with or without certain types of clothing.

I also believe that people who are so quick to judge others based on clothing, or lack thereof, have personal self image issues that they instead project onto others who feel good in their choice of clothing.

I get judged on how I look and dress all the time but I just tell people that just because I dress a certain way doesn't mean I act a certain way I wear a lot of booty shorts low cut tops and crop tops but I'm a nice girl I don't act the way I look I have morals I'm not trashy in the way I carry myself and I dress for me and no on else

I think it's more a time and place to show more skin. Outside of religious places wear whatever you want as long as its clean.

This is one of the best articles I have ever read. I go to a Christian school, so I know what it's like to have to measure everything before I leave the house. Thanks for finding this Kenzie:)

That's fabulous literally I can't stand when my teachers tell me to cover up my shoulders because it distracts people or that guys will stare or a guy may grab me. They shouldn't get distracted, stare or grab me because I am comfortable with my body.
