I really enjoyed reading ya'll's blogs. Mandy, I especially liked yours - the layout is simple and clean with good photos. that's what i look for in a blog and website for that manner. (i'm senior status at my university with a computer science major).

As for mine, the name sounds simple and familiar but has a deeper meaning. I strugged with confidence in myself throughout high school and most of college (i'm earning degree number 2 right now, i'm referring to when i was straight out of high school getting my first degree). I didn't feel strong in my talents, or the way I looked. I wasn't particularly interested in makeup at that time. I didn't spend a lot of time on myself - I wore foundation and mascara but that's about it.

Well, fast forward to a few years ago when I began 'finding' myself, sense of style, and my basic substance. I had been working for a few years at the time and was sucessful in my career and then made the choice to branch out into something totally different. As I was succeeding in these areas of my life, I found confidence in myself and embraced the world of makeup and it's artistry. I was yearing for a way to express my creative side and found that in makeup. Not only did that make me confident in my artistic skills I thought I may have lost (as I was an artsy child) but it made me realize that I could look beautiful all the time, every day. Not only that, but I realized I could alter the way I looked based on my mood. This......gave me a sense of confidence that was very powerful.

So, long story short.....getting into makeup artistry along with growing up helped me find my confience in myself and hence the name of my blog, confidentbeauty. I like spreading the good news of makeup and beauty and urging girls to take pride in how they look and that they too can discover their hidden confidence.

The story behind my blog name is as follows:
My name is Jessica, and yes that is relevant to this topic lol!
Ok, when I was a kid my mom would yell at us in the neighborhood to come home. So my sis's nickname was Amberini and my brother was always called Andrew Jacob even though we all called and still call him Drew. My mom always called me CACA or messy Jessie. Well, caca stuck throughout my childhood ....jessi-ca-ca...just to break it down for you...

So, I got a new car in 2008 and was on the way to my grandparents house with my fiance and I was like I am going to get a license plate and its going to say THECACA...(it was a joke) but then i was like screw it, I am going to apply, the worst thing the DMV can do it turn me down. FAst forward 2 weeks, I get an email from the DMV saying its approved. Fast forward 3 years, Im still rocking out with my "the caca" license plate on my car. So CACA stuck once again, and now all 4 of my neices and nephews call me caca....and it sticks....so i just bought pinkcaca.com but im in the process of building my site...needless to say, its catchy and its part of my history :)

**btw, my blog is about my life struggles with weight and abuse....but there is some makeup stuff intermixed...that will all change when i launch pinkcaca.com***

Once upon a time long, long ago... lol ok but seriously it started because I was trying to create a screenname for my AIM account (do ppl even use that anymore?) Anywho, its a play on two words I really like the word 'Rain'. I fell in love with that being the name of one of my children. I think I was a hippie in another life! And rainy days, kinda reminds me of being cuddled up, warm, watching movies (those are the BEST!). Lily... Just happens to be my favorite flower. Also, I often have dreams that it is literally raining lilies. I don't really know how to translate those dreams but I know I wake up with a smile on my face.

Fond thoughts surround those words to me so Voila! ReignLilee was born. And I liked the name so much I kept using it, plus it just sounds purty ;-)

I wanted something really elegant sounding, which is ironic because I'm not elegant at all lol And all of the best fashion blogs seem to have French names? I was traipsing through a bunch of French fashion- related words and terms, but all of those URL's were taken, plus I'm not too educated in the French language so decided it wasn't such a good idea. Styliche is more so a play on the word 'stylish'. It doesn't mean anything as far as I know in any other language, but I thought it was pretty chic.

My blog name is The Makeup Dream.

I've had on name before and it was called Makeup your Imagination. It's because I like to use my imagination and go out of the box and so. So keeping that in mind when I made this blog I wanted to represent that and also what I am about.

So I came up with The Makeup Dream, because when you dream there's no limit. With my blog I want to do makeup from dramatic to neutral/natural. But also use my imagination to make products work and create new things. Ex. using a green base and go over it with that not-much pigmented e/s shadow to great a beautiful color.

Also a more personal thought behind the name is that my dream is to be involved in the fashion industry. I love makeup, but also photography and video production among other interest. And by doing this blog and YT videos and the forums I'm fulfilling some of my dream. I'm doing it as a hobby and I share it with others.

I first started my blog to just have something to do in my spare time and didn't actually decide on the name Beauty - Flawed until a few weeks after I started posting. It was originally named Beautiful Illusion but I didn't really like that and it just didn't stick with me. So I chose Beauty - Flawed because I feel like beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors and its never perfect because it doesn't have to be. With all the pressure to be supermodel thin with perfect features I wanted something that would just remind me that its okay to be different and that you don't have to look like a magazine ad to be beautiful.
