I've realized that Cali gets all the "new" trends a lot faster than here in AZ unfortunately lol...was wondering if anyone had anything they see where they live that might become a new trend? saw where youre from too!

Animal prints with brights accent pieces are fab! I know oversized checks is a key print for this fall. and silky wide leg pants or short are making a huge comeback!

Brenda I agree with you! AZ is behind! I know we are seeing feathers here a little bit but not nearly as much as Cali. it is a huge trend there! I love them! :)

@Nykki B: i know!! i feel like i have to watch out for Cali girls on youtube (like Kandee Johnson and many others) to look for trends and start them here!!! I'm still looking for feathers but I have really long hair so not sure how that would look with the shorter ones that are available..hmm...

Yeah, that can cause a problem. I love Feather earrings though, and those don't have to be long. The extensions would be too short for you hair though... Unless you found a really good place.

I just picked up the September issue of Glamour, mainly because of JulieGBeauty having a snit bit article in it and saw that Black and white is going to be in a new light this fall. There are definitely more for this coming fall, but pick wisely so your not stuck with a bunch of one season/year items.

The things I said were stylish might seem out of the box but just you wait...
I should also add that jewel toned or bright colored scarves and shoes and purses are very stylish and that Greek jewelry is going to be a HUGE hit this fall.
And just an FYI, I know everyone has a certain fashion philosophy but personally, I believe nothing ever goes out of style, so don't worry about getting stuck with a piece that you think you won't be able to wear again. The reason why you don't wear certain clothing items again is due to the fact that it doesn't fit your body well or at all and also due to the fact that the proportions are not correct. So buy items that fit your body well and accentuates your figure. A good rule is to never where the same outfit twice unless it looked fabulous the first time. If it looked fabulous the first time then it's considered a "go to" outfit and you can always rock that look (i.e. blue jeans and a white tee or anything with a blazer) But try to not wear the same outfit twice and that will keep you looking fresh and stylish. You have to keep transforming and updating your look. No need to keep buying new things...just wear your pieces in different ways. and before you buy something new, make sure you can envision the different ways you can wear it. Unless it's something unique and crazy fabulous and you have to have it...then buy it! I have a lot of those moments too and the unique items I have bought really add a twist to my outfits.

Also, feathers on short hair is AMAZEEEE! check out my Beautylish photo...i have my hair pulled back in a sleek pony tail and it really shows off the earrings... so rock those feathers girl! any kind of feathers!

Andrea: Hahahaha... I love that... I agree for the most part. Some stuff I like, but... ick, some of that floral print is just terrible! I think feathers can be pretty... but they aren't amazing.

I saw a ton of high waisted shorts at Friday's Katy Perry concert the Bay Area. I've also been seeing a ton of those hippie style shoes.. not quite Keds and not quite surfer shoes- somewhere in between. Let me be the first to say I do NOT see the allure here (www.toms.com).

Get a subscription to InStlye, Vogue, TeenVogue, etc. & watch the Style Network!(; lol but personally, I would rock your own style, just take tips&hints from the "Fashion" world, & add it to what YOU love!
