i love doing a full face makeup look every now and then, or when im bored, but since school is coming up and all i really where to school is eyeliner, usually the pencil kind because its fast even though my favorite is gel, i was wondering if there is a good cheap primer that i can use for everyday use for just eyeliner, i have nyx pot primer in white, but its ganna be too white, and thats for my eyeshadows, so i was thinking something small and cheap, like nyx or elf, also because im going to ulta for the first time sunday and wanted to pick something up there, so i was hoping you girls could help me out, :) thanks!

Whats your price range? I'd be glad to help you find the perfect type! Also, you won't need to apply it all over the lid because you won't need to! Use a gel pencil liner brush to make a small line with the primer as you will with the eyeliner.

yeah monica, i was going to use those, since there selling them 3 for 3 dollars in three different colors, but jazmine thats a really good idea and i would have never thought about it, and im going to ulta with like 40 to 60 bucks not much ive spent 100 on other things this week so cant spend much, so what you have in mind? and i love youtube gurus im so subscribing!

It depends,
I love inglot's matte gel eyeliners. They stay on and don't budge. I use them as a base, as eyeliner and they are perfect for both. You don't need alot because they are very creamy.

Aw, thanks for the support Johanna! :) I will always be a firm-lover for the Urban Decay primer potion. But I did a little bit of research for you and smashbox's photofinish lid primer is another FANTASTIC one out there. It's $20 and there's a lot of it and since you'd only use it for eye liner, it would last you forever! Also, too faced shadow insurance is good :)

An awesome way to keep eyeliner on is putting a loose translucent setting powder over it or the same color eyeshadow. :)

not a primer, but i definitely recommend milani's liquif'eye eyeliner! stays on all day & doesn't give that pencil eyeliner look! (:

Typically, I don't prime my lids for eyeliner cause the one I use stays on all day. However, if I were to prime my lids for just eyeliner, I'd go with E.L.F.'s primer, and it's only $1.

If you are looking to seal in eyeliner try I.d. Bare essentials weather everything. It is amazing making whatever eyeliner you have on waterproof : )

I had NO CLUE that you could use eyeshadow primer as a primer for eyeliner! No wonder my eyeliner runs allover my face by the time I get home from work! It's ok to put it on the water line?
