What type of foundation do you use? I hear and a lot of users do agree to what Sephora/MUFE employee says, that MUFE products work very well, and only tends to work... with other MUFE products. So say... you use the MUFE primer, it's highly recommended you use one of the foundation that MUFE provides, and vice versa.
But there could be a few ladies out there that mixes and matches...

Neither!! I use Palladio herbal primer. It works soooo well! Some have said it's even comparable to the Smashbox Photo Finnish Primer. I have combination skin and it goes on super smooth and helps keep my foundation on all day. It's natural, so it hasn't broken me out yet either. Only around $12 at Sally's Beauty Supply (or less depending on where you live). Hope that helps a little! :) Good luck.

+1 for MUFE... I LOVE it. The green photofinish primer def. does a FANTASTIC job of cancelling out redness in my face... but I also like the white universal one too...
I've used the green one, but you have to make sure you don't mind adding a little color back into your face w/ bronzer and contouring w/ your routine, since it may blank out your canvas too well and leave your face looking flat. Using too much also runs the risk of you looking ashy. Only use the green one in your problem areas...
The white shade, you can go crazy and slap it all over your face and it won't make too much of a difference in your foundation coloring... unless of course, you use something full-coverage and again, it will leave your face looking flat w/o extra color. Tinted moisturizer users or fans of light-med. coverage foundations shouldn't have too much of a problem w/ this.
I've tried MUFE products w/ other brands, and it definitely plays well with it's own brand... not so much w/ others... well, for me at least. Everyone's skin is different. The difference in finish is night and day though... along with how long wearing it is.
Hope that helps!

I haven't tried any MAC primers but I did have the Makeup Forever HD primer in the blue shade, and I really loved it! It is a really great primer, except I stopped using it because I found that the Loreal studio secrets magic perfecting base worked just as good for me, and it was WAY cheaper, but I still would say the MUFE one is great :)
