Heyy Im Kayla and im a pretty new beauty guru on youtube and i really wanna get better at what i do i feel like im doing something wrong. Im gonna leave my channel check my vids out and if you could leave me suggestions on what i should do better that would be so nice. Or just write what you look for in a beauty guru i would really really appriciate it. I wanna be so much better at what i do because i know i can give 250 % percent of me.

i definitely look for personality, but not to where they're fake...i like gurus that have a similar style and everything that i do, so i can get fashion tips from them :) my channel is blondi3grrl21...hope this helped at all!

Personality is pretty much on par or more appreciated than skill for me. I watch a lot of tutorials to relax me as well so I like gurus who aren't too spastic/loud. I'm not a big fan of speed tutorials to music because it doesn't show personality, but narrated ones are fine. Most gurus I watch don't have the same style as me, but I still enjoy watching anything beauty. :)

I look for personality most of all, they have to have a good likable personality to keep me interested in watching their videos. It's also really important to me that they have good skills at what they're doing, I want to learn things from the gurus I watch. I also look for good quality videos (not only camera quality, but quality in general) like a good variety of videos from tutorials, to tags, hauls, favorites, etc. It also makes me like a guru more when they are friendly and interact with their viewers.

Great camera quality with zoom, someone who doesn't talk to much, has a nice personality, and just themselves and not copying off of everybody else.

I'd also want someone who isn't afraid to show their faces without any makeup on. which makes me realize that I'm not the only person who looks like that without any makeup on! you know what i'm saying? LOL

WHOEVER ACTS LIKE THEMSELVES. I can't tell you how many AndreasChoices', JLovesMac1's, KandeeJohnson's, etc. i've seen. For me, your personality has to be bright and natural. A person who is comfortable under several circumstances (with/without makeup.) Knows what they are doing (not professional, just do your research before you give info out to others watching you.) I'm a tutorial girl, I mostly subscribe to those who do lots of in-depth tutorials. I love it when I don't feel like I'm watching an uncomfortable speech or someone preaching to me. In other words, I love someone who is personable and I feel like they're my best friend. And who isn't iffy about responding to their subbies. :)
