I cut my hair to my collarbone in April and I'm trying to grow it out. Problem: I'm on my school's swim team. For the next 4 months my hair will be damaged by chlorine and a swim cap (for those of you who don't know, they have a reputation for breakage around the hairline). It's no help that I have very fine hair. I'm using a wide-tooth comb whenever my hair's wet, but does anyone have any other tips for swimmer hair?

YES! Before you put your swim cap on, wet your hair down and glom on a good conditioner; this will help keep the chlorinated water out of your hair, and make it easy to remove the cap (less breakage/damage)
Post-swim, treat your hair to a clarifying vinegar rinse - this will neutralize whatever chlorine manages to get in. Shampoo and condition afterward. Easy!

Thank you so much! I didn't think about the conditioner trick, that's such a good idea!
