I don't wear any foundation, I only moisturize. For eyeshadow, I do use a primer. I put blush on my clean moisturized face after it "sets". Just be sure that the product agrees with your skin and wash off your makeup daily and you should be fine :)

No, it's definitely fine to apply makeup without foundation. I don't use foundation on a daily basis, I will sometimes apply concealer & powder depending how many blemishes & how intense my dark circles are though.

If you have the skin to get away with not wearing foundation and can rock the eyes then go for it. No rule says you have to wear foundation when wearing shadow so long as you have a good even skintone. If you have blotchy skin then you might want to consider using a tinted moisturizer but even then you do what you want and don't care what anyone else things. As RuPaul says, "it's not of your business what other people think of you."

To my way of thinking, skin is paramount to any look. Whether it's achieved naturally or with foundation, powder, concealer or tinted moisturizer is moot. If you've got the skin to pull it off the rest of the makeup, go for it.

The only thing I don't understand is why people will spend the time to put together a fabulous look, but ignore the skin.. when the condition of the skin can't be ignored. An extra few minutes and an extra few products can transform everything.

Of course you can! I do that all the time, especially when I'm in a rush. I'll just throw on some moisturizer, let it dry, put on a tad of concealer and some lip gloss and blush!

its not necessary but if you're worried, you can always pick up a primer to work as a barrier between the make up and your skin

I personally don't think its necessary if u have an even skin tone. If coverage is needed for blemishes, scars, or under eye circles concealer does wonders <3 I don't use foundation unless I'm going out :) like for drinks or a special occasion. I just make sure to moisturize.

No i don't wear foundation at all you just would need like a primer to hold onto what you're wearing, and to add a pop to the color, especial with browner skin i notice some colors look fainter on us than others. you can use a white or nude base primer like NYX eyeshadow base which makes them pop. Sometimes a moisturizer can hold onto your blush... but i wear makeup but never foundation. I'm actually not allowed but even if i could i probably wouldn't lol

Don't let anyone tell you you have to wear foundation or concealer. I never use them. Now, Im not saying not to use them, just that they arn't necessary. The way I see it is that I normally have some disscoloration, Im fine with it because its natural. Same with any blemishes. There are times when I want to cover these things up though, but thats only like once or twice a year, so it doesnt really matter to me. I see makeup as a form of decorating ones self. So I pretty much use everything else under the sun. It looks fine putting blush, contour and highlighter on your natural skin. Yes, you will need a primer for your eyes if you dont want everything to crease or run. But makeup is an art form and dont ever let anyone tell you that you have to do something. Now, of course there are thechniques you may want to use to make the things you do look better, but there are no rules.

You don't NEED to apply foundation ever. I know plenty of ladies who don't like to wear foundation, and they'll use a powder and/or cream blush and it looks just fine.

The only important thing IS to moisturize, so you're good. A foundation is good for people who need/desire more coverage for freckles, blemishes, or just an all-around porcelain look to their skin. Things like primers are good depending on your skin type and the brand of makeup you are using. If you have oily to combination skin and you find that your eyeshadows are not applying as bright as they look otherwise, then you need a primer. You would also need one if you are SO oily that your eyeshadow cracks, creases, or melts off quickly. Like I said, the brand makes a big difference too. If you are using brands found at grocery stores, you might need it (even if you have dry skin) because the quality of the makeup is just not that good. One last thing, if you are into pigments (loose powder shadows with vibrant color) then you definitely will need primer for the "flakes" to stick to your lids. Just be sure that you are cleansing your face and using a toner to clean out your pores before you apply your moisturizer so you are not locking in any dirt/oils.

totally up to you if you've got flawless skin and feel good without applying anything on your face go right ahead I say. You're lucky if you can pull it off without any of that other guck on your face you know

You do not NEED to wear foundation. If you have naturally beautiful skin then definitely go bare! If you feel you would like a little coverage for times when you have breakouts.. then go for a tinted moisturizer and maybe some concealer...

Foundation is just to even out the skin tone, so if you have uneven skin tone or maybe some dark areas or what not. Concealer is what is to cover blemishes and dark circles. NONE of this is necessary at all!

I personally wear foundation every day but I have a very uneven skin tone and some pretty bad hereditary under eye circles. But if you were blessed with gorgeous skin naturally, then show it off! LOL. Please be sure to check out my beauty channel on You Tube for more tips, it should be linked beneath this post. Good luck to you!

You don't need to wear foundation, thatz just an extra thing that you can put on but definetly moisturize. Sometimes if I'm in a rush I'll just skip the foundation and just put on some moisturizer, some eyeliner, and a sweep of a neutral color on my eyelids.

Especially if your face suddenly breaks out, do not wear anything thing on your face just an acne treatment and a little eyeshadow. So in short: foundation isn't necessary

It is ok ...i tent to only wear foundation it i have lot of time, or it if just go out with my friends and family. Because for shcool and work, i only wear a moisurizer and my basic make up. The most close i get to foundation for everyday use, is my concealer.....
So nothing you do is wrong ;)

Its not a must to wear foundation but I feel that if you do crazy eyeshadow and lips you should put a lil somethin on your face even if its just a tented moisturizer if you have a good even skintone. If you dont have good skin then I would DEFINITELY recommend to wear a foundation. I'm sorry but if you have blotchy skin and blemishes and killer eyeshadow and lips, I wont even notice the eyes and lips cause I'll be too busy looking at all the imperfections in your face. Its like wearing open toes without nail polish, if you have nice clean nails then go for it, but if you have cracked chipped polish thats been on for like a month and you desperately need a pedi, then dont wear open toes! Recently, I decided to not wear foundation & powder, just save it for special occasions for now on...I LOVE IT!! I think it's great to not wear them & wear less makeup. Now I only do my brows, mascara, small amount of eyeliner, & lipstick...In the evening, it makes it a lot easier to wash off, when I'm ready to take it off...Just love the freedom of not having a "cakey, dry" feeling face anymore. I do put on moisturizer & a self-tanner (light) on my face. Let it set for a f ew minutes. And then do the other stuff. It makes getting ready, every morning, a delight!
