I've recently started a new skincare routine and its been working great! I haven't seen acne in a few weeks now. Unfortunately, I still have annoying scars left behind from some previous spots. Anyone have any products (preferably not too pricey) to recommend? :)

Mind sharing your skincare routine? :)
I've just recently started using Maderma on my acne scars, hoping it works.

Hi Erica...I've been using Olay's gentle face wash with the Olay Pro-X (clarisonic dupe!) after taking off my makeup with Clinique Cleansing Balm. For toner I've been using Clinique's Mild Clarifying Lotion, and for moisturizer I'm using Yes To Carrots SPF 15 daily moisturizing lotion. I think the Olay Pro-X is what is being the most effective though! I really like it =)

Ooh, I've gotta pick the Olay Pro-X thing up. I've been wanting one of those type of things.
Thanks!

Scarguard works really well. It is on the pricey side but it is very well worth it.

I have acne scars too! :( I started to use Bio Oil and it has really helped me. I also exfoliate and doing the two have totally helped my scars fade.

I have found that using the Clarisonic really helped my scarring fade. Any type of exfoliation is good, but the most important thing is to wear sunscreen! Exposing skin to the sun actually makes scarring darker as well as causes hyperpigmentation. Microdermabrasion is supposed to be really good for fading scarring because it is a more abrasive form of exfoliation which is supposed to take off the top layer of dead skin and allow the new skin to show. I know there are products out there that are designed to act like microdermabrasion. I would say don't fix what isn't broken. If it is working continue with your same routine, but exfoliate at least once or twice a week. :)

In the past I have broken open 'Vitamin E' capsules and rubbed the contents where my acne scars are. It took a while to notice a difference but within a few months I could notice my largest acne scar [which is above my lip] fading drastically. It is completely gone as of now!

Microdermabrasion is great for acne scarring, you might also want to look into chemical peels, they can really help the scars fade! I know so many clients who have got chemical peels and their faces have improved dramatically! I wouldn't suggest doing microdermabrasion or chemical peels at home though.. You can over do it and just make the skin worse always best to go to a professional so they can tell you exactly what you need to do before and after the procedures! Good luck! :)

clinques dark spot remover is absolutely amazing i saw a difference in about a week I use it twice a day not as faithfully as i should bt i still have seen a drastic change....you can go to sephora and ask for a sample of it and try it out for a few weeks and decide if you would like to actually purchase it...it is alittle expensive about $40 but you only need a very little bit...a little goes a long way so the bottle will last for a long time....i personally think it works great and probably would have all my scars cleared up by now if i would remember to use it faithfully lol
