the last time i tried to curl my hair, i ended up denting it :/ what did i do wrong?
Jul 14, 2011
Rachel S.
what do you mean by denting it? Like there were kinks in the curl? or there was damage after you washed the curl out?

Erica H.
I know what you're talking about. Sometimes if you use the clamp and don't curl your hair following the shape of the iron it will put a weird little dent in it and make the curl look weird.

well, the ends looked really weird :/
like the curls look ok, but the ends r just bent

so how do i not do that?

When I curl my hair, I just make sure majority of my ends aren't showing/peaking out of the clamp. I think if you grab too much hair also it could cause that kink in the ends of the hair.

^this. You have to make sure that all the ends are inside the clamp or you will get the bending on the ends.

Just follow the shape of the barrel & the direction your hair is going when you clamp on your hair.

What Andrea G said. That's what I was trying to explain, just didn't know how to put it into words haha

haha, it's really hard to explain it. That's why I felt busting Microsoft Paint out was necessary. :p
