Do you think it is worth spending hundreads of dollars on makeup, just to blog?

There are some who make $$$ blogging so they will invest. They get free products and do reviews on them as well. It just depends on your preference and what you want to put into it and get out of it.

Yay, Mandy! Sometimes, I want to give you high-fives through the computer screen... is that dorky? =P
Is it any bit wrong to buy because of a blog as much as it is to buy just to blog? It's really the same difference. I'm just glad people are interested in sharing their opinions and experiences with the internet as a resource to find something on whatever it is you are looking into purchasing.
Imagine how difficult it must have been to purchase things back in our parent's younger days pre-internet? Think of how many duds they might have purchased? Think of all the disappointing trips back to return or exchange things... [I sure remember them... I was always used for carpool...] =(
Regardless of whatever you buy to blog, or buy because of blogs... each instance is rewarding to the end-user. I'm just glad I can order shoes and bodycon dresses online and be able to google, "Does this fit true to size?"... "Will this work w/ NC30 skin?" or the word "review" next to it, and I can up my chances of buying something I absolutely LOVE with just a click of a mouse!
Is it wrong I went out and purchased an expensive high-end brush to compare and review against a lower-end, cheaper brush? I might have found a great back-up, or I might have wasted $, but do I find it rewarding that experience can help many others find something they truly like? Certainly, yes! Sure, I feel like a sucker if the cheaper brush wins over the more expensive, but at least I know not to waste my $ ever again if I find myself in need to replace them after wear and tear. =)
That's one HELL of a lot better than blogging just to get things for free...

I agree with Mandy and Soma. I spend my money on makeup because I love makeup... and then use my blog to share these things. I generally would not buy something JUST for the sake of my blog, but because I would like to try it out as well.

I agree with Mandy and Soma too. I spend hundreds of dollars on makeup regardless, so being able to blog about it and share my passion with other people is just a bonus.

I agree with Mandy : ) And it also benefits those that are Makeup artist. You spend but all products will be put to use. And who doesn't love free products : )

I'm a beauty blogger, but I'm definitely not spending hundreds of dollars just to blog. I'm spending money to actually use the products.

I normally buy products that I am interested in trying for myself; but I don't go out and spend hundreds of dollars on makeup just for the sake of blogging about them! For me, it would take the fun out of blogging. I love makeup and that's why I buy it. Blogging about it is an added bonus.
I guess to each their own...

Do you think it is worth spending hundreads of dollars on makeup, just to blog?
I think that its ridiculous to spend hundreds of dollars on makeup just to blog. You have to take into consideration that they do expire. I buy things that i like and i know I will use. I rather spend all that money on traveling. Now for blogging purposes I think you should just buy what you like . Dont over do it.
