Hello. I am from New Zealand and am just wondering what is the best kind of brush to buy for applying liquid foundation? from any local store would be great :)

or from trademe :)

I usually use my fingers to apply my liquid foundation but if I do use a brush i use a small duo fiber bush. I put the foundation on the back of my hand use a stippling motion to get the foundation on the brush and apply to my face, It's definitely up to you what you prefer to use though. A dense synthetic flat top brush works good as well.

hmm i dont know if you can get sigma brushes where you are but they make some pretty great foundation brushes. there's the synthetic flat, angled and round kabuki brushes (i've found the flat top to work great for liquids), a traditional foundation brush and a few duo fibre brushes to pick from as well!

Sigma ships worldwide.

Anyway, I think it depends on the foundation. Some apply better with a traditional flat foundation brush, others with a stippling brush, others with something like a beautyblender (or a sponge in general), and some are best applied with your fingers.

I love the F80 from Sigma! Here's a video of a demo between different application types, but it demonstrates how the F80 beats them all!

It's a bit long, but towards 2/3 of the video, she shows how each method applies liquid foundation on a mirror and you can see how it disperses the product evenly.
