I was thinking about getting the moroccan Oil treatment. I wanted to know if anyone has it or if it is any good for the price? Also does anyone know if it makes your hair grow?

I never really understood the hype, but then again there is a LOT of hype. Every single person that I've spoken to has loved it... I got mine in Israel so I'm not sure about it price-wise, but I think it's definitely worth giving it a shot due to all the positive reviews. :) I've never heard anything about it making your hair grow though. If it does then I might just give it a try again! Lol

The only thing that makes your hair grow is time.
You can grow longer, HEALTHIER hair by drinking more water, avoiding sulphates, heat tools, chemical treatments and also by having a regular trim.

Well I haven't tried the specific brand Moroccan Oil but I have tried others that contain moroccan/argan oil and honestly I felt like it didn't make that much of a difference. I have really dry, damaged, overprocessed hair and I've learned that no product out there can fix damaged hair. I'm sure if this is the reason you are looking into this but that's my experience!

If your looking for a more price friendly version Organix has a shampoo/conditioner/and treatment at target and it has been helping my hair a whole bunch. I can't remember the price exactly though but I know it is cheaper :)

the Moroccan oil is quite expensive I will say, but it works wonders! Every single person that I know that has used it loves it! I have purchased about 3-4 bottles of it in the past, it makes your hair feel amazing! Another plus with it is if you have thick hair (which I most certainly do) it cuts your blowdry time in half. It makes your hair dry so fast, that's what I love most about it! <3

I bought a bottle of argan oil while in morocco but its just sits on my shelf. I have no idea how to use it! so you put it in your hair and im assuming you just rub a small amount in? curious! it'd be nice to use it :D

I LOVE Moroccan Oil!! I have dry hair and use quarter size amount on wet hair and it makes huge difference in condition of my hair. The smell is amazing. I keep a small bottle in my purse in winter to tame the frizzy static electricity hair. I find it not heavy at all...During the summer I keep in pool bag to coat hair after getting out of water and dab a little on the lips..GREAT PRODUCT!!!

I really like using oils in my hair since I process it with bleach/color a lot. I haven't used Moroccan Oil products because I was really only interested in the main ingredient- Argan Oil. I opted for Josie Maran's Argan Oil instead because it's 100% oil with no "filler" ingredients.

Angela W. Thanks so much. I was thinking about getting the Josie Maran's Argan Oil but that one is a little more then the Moroccan oil treatment

It's totally worth it! The ingredients for the Moroccan oil are:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl, MethylPropional, (AND FINALLY) Argania Spinoza Kernal Oil (Aragan Oil).
Ingredients are listed by volume. So that means the majority of your $$ is going to the first few ingredients. Cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are silicone-based, so while they'll coat your hair and protect it, they can be hard to rinse out and you can get a residue.
Coconut oil is another fairly inexpensive product that does wonders for hair.

Yeah, just do a google search for coconut oil on your hair. There's been some research that it penetrates the shaft and helps stregnthen the hair. I use it all the time as a nighttime hair treatment/body oil/cooking oil. You can use it for everything lol.

My mom gave me a bottle of Moroccan Oil hair treatment (in a turquoise box, only available from salons). Honestly, it smells awesome, but it gives me a rash! It's got some nasty preservatives in it, and lord only knows what is in the fragrance. I have switched to pure argan oil. Instead of paying for Josie Maran's (I got a sample from Sephora), I picked up a bottle for a fraction of the price from an essential oil wholesaler called New Directions Aromatics (http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.ca/). The oil is a much lighter color than JM's, and I know it's just the straight organic goods, with no additives. Does wonders for my big fat greek frizz, and a bonus treatment for nails and cuticles as I rake it through my damp hair! New Directions also carries coconut oil and liquid aloe which is a fab conditioner which balances the pH of your hair.

Moroccan oil is amazing it honestly does wonders for hair, I've been in the hair industry for 5 years it's still to this day one of my favourite products. It's a win win really a heat protectant (blow dryer and flat iron, a smoother de frizzer, protects against sun. I've seen it do great things for my clients with damaged or dry hair. If you try it you won't be disappointed.
