hi there my grown and sexxies! how have you embraced the 30+ plus club? do you feel the need to re-event yourself at this point? are there any beauty tips you would like to share that will keep us looking as fierce as we did in our 20's?

I'm 36. Drink lots of water, eat a multi vitamin & wear SPF on face/neck/chest/ears daily! Learn how to apply fake eyelashes, your real ones start to thin and fall out the older you get.

I matured my makeup look - instead of bright blue eyeshadow, I now accent with bright eyeliner in the outer corners. It still gives me that pop of colour I'm after but doesn't make me feel as thought I'm clinging to my 20+ year old self. Update your skincare too.

But don't get me wrong, I do not feel as thought I had to give any thing up or that I 'lost' something; Instead of wearing whatever I wanted because I wanted to (bright this, heavy that), I tend follow the trends of prestige/premier cosmetic companies.  xoxo

hi nancy thank your for replying. and i agree with you on everything. even what colors of eyeshadow i chose to wear. i still love my brights but find other creative ways to experiment with them, unless im in an artistic mood lol.

I love you ladies for adding to this thread! I've got 2.5 more years till I join you, and honestly... I'm looking forward to it! Whomever said "30 is the new 20" is awesome! Life really DOES get better with age. I'll never miss awkward adolescence, being broke and digging for coins for gas and going out, and whatever the hell else it was that being young sucked for.

Definitely taking notes and learning from you all.  =)

No reinvention as of yet; I still shuffle between subtle and dramatic, neutral and bright.. but I'm very serious about skin care. Don't forget your hands either.. nothing gives away a youthful face quicker than gnarly hands. ;]

^Tamara, so true! My bf says the tell-tale signs of aging are the skin of your face, hands, and neck...

Clinique's Turnaround Concentrate removes all scars and age spots on your hands, face and chest in 30 days. LOVE it.

I'm 36 as well and like Nancy above I too drink lots of water, take a multi vitamin & wear SPF when I go out. She's right about the eyelashes, I use to have super thick and long lashes and noticed as I entered my mid-30s my eyelashes are not as thick and luscious as before. I also apply lots of moisturizer to my face and neck after a shower and before going to bed.

I'm 35 and no major changes here. I still love the crazy wild looks, but when it comes to family gatherings, work, etc., I keep it toned down.

Like most of you, I just take good care of myself. I work out 3-4 days a week, I drink lots of water, stay on top of my skincare routine, etc.

See, there's nothing to fear about becoming a member of the +30 club! You get beauty and brains!  xoxo

Hi there ! I've recently turned 35 and LOVING it! With each passing year.....I feel a lot more confident. My skincare routine is the one thing that has stepped up....I've always worn sunscreen and always will. But my creams have turned into serums and I'm a lot more diligent about my routine! Funny enough.....with age I've actually become a lot more experimental with make up! SO THE BOTTOM LINE IS........EMBRACE YOUR THIRTIES!  

i am so happy that you ladies have actually replied! my post had been up here for a couple of weeks and i was starting to think no one was interested. and i strongly agree about stepping up the skin care. anybody out there have some sound advice about still having acne breakouts in your 30?! aaghhh!! lol im 33 by the way.

hi i am 33. i think the best part of being in my thirties is now knowing what works for me when it is skin care related. i do make sure i moisturise more often and i never go to sleep with my makeup like when i was in my early 20s lol. noticed my eyelashes are not as thick anymore so i avoid using mascara unless i have to and i use the ardell lash growth thingy.

Hello beautiful ladies, I am 33 soon to be 34 and I make sure every night I remove all my make up from my face. I try and stick with the same products that I really enjoy using because as I have gotten older my face just loves to break out. I make sure I use a moistuizer everyday and night and I try to make sure I drink a lot of water. I did start using a eye cream and yea everything else is the same. I have always been in to taking care of my skin so yea that's what I do, lol.

I'm 32 and feel better every year! I too drink a lot of water and stick with a consistent skin care routine.

My re-invention process was not necessarily a conscious one. I made gradual lifestyle adjustments going into my thirties. I started working out regularly, and stopped eating meat @ 29. At 31-32, I stopped pressing my hair, started using more natural hair care products, and for the most part I just let my hair be curly all the time. This year @ 33 I began to incorporate more natural products in my skincare regimen.

I also did things to stimulate my mind-- like finally going to grad school where I was surrounded by other creative people who supported and encouraged my growth in other important ways.

I didn't really feel different or 30 until I took a step back and realized that in just 3 years I'd made a lot of changes that I felt proud of. I'm like an official adult now, lol. My evolution was a series of what I like to think of as healthy choices that basically had the domino effect of falling into place, one thing after the other. Each change, big and small, amounted to an overall shift into a healthier, happier, more balanced life. To GOD be the glory.

P.S. I definitely co-sign on what a lot of the ladies have said previously. Water + vitamins + skincare + exercise + well-balanced diet = Everything in your 30s.  Enjoy!

37 going on 38 in Feb. Must say that I'm much more confident now than I ever was in my 20's and enjoying every second of it. I definitely take better care of my skin and I live in the gym since I'm trying to maintain the figure. My best advice in maintaining it all is quite simple....healthy eating, exercise and a positive mindset.
