Sephora & MAC give samples when you ask. That's probably as free as you're going to get.

I don't know about getting a free full-sized makeup product, but as they stated before me you can get samples. Sephora offers mini samples every now & then if you're part of their program.

Ask for samples or subscribe to services like Birchbox or Test Tube. They don't have strictly makeup and it's not exactly "free", but it's still a cool idea. Also check blogs for giveaways because they often give away gift cards or makeup items :)

You can get free (or really cheap) makeup if you follow sales and use coupons. It's a little work, but I spend only about $100 a year on makeup - and I probably save thousands. I post blogs and make videos about how to save money on beauty products, so check it out for more info. If you need inspiration I have a video on my channel with my entire beauty "stockpile."
