I use an epilator and it makes such a big difference! I had tried everything and epilating is painful, but worth it to me.

Get waxed saves time and money, also doesnt hurt and u wont have to touch up as often vs. Shaving etc. it helped me eliminate razor burn if i shave i get it also

Try to take a bath instead of a shower and make sure you sit in the water for at least ten minutes. Sititng in the warm water will soften your skin and loosen the area around where the hair folicle comes out. You'll irritate the skin less because the blade can glide across your smooth skin instead of dragging over a dehyrated surface. Stick with your shave gel or lather up with something that has a lot of base in it (like a body wash, they're more "slippery" than soap usually). If you can, add at least a cup of salts to the water (salt has antibacterial qualities). Switch out your razors fairly frequently too.. I'm guilty of never doing this.. but I DO notice that the only time I have skin issues after shaving is when I use a dulling blade.

VEET!!!! It was my life saver for down there! as long as you dont get it "inside" the region...then its perfect for no razor bumps and a smoooooth surface. I love the stuff, ya it smellls bad but it washes away.

Thank you everyone! I think I'm going to try the veet and if that doesnt work I was thinking about getting my own wax kit because paying for waxing every time gets expensive its like $20 each time or more.
Thanks again!

I hope u love it :) just make sure not to leave I on too long & b4 removing it in shower test a patch to see if the hair is dissolved enough. No more razor bumps ever again! Lol

i use to have the same problem and started using nair cooling gel at the advice of my doctor and i dont think ill every shave again lol absoulutely no bumpage at all...its amazing....and it doesnt hurt like waxing...because im a big baby and could never let hot wax get that close to my stuff lol i havent tried veet but i would think that it would be the same result as nair....just different company lol

I second the epilator suggestion! I love mine. It does hurt a lot, but it's so convenient!!! It's much cleaner than waxing and you don't have to have somebody else do it.

I also suggest taking a nice soak after you do whatever landscaping you gotta do. Drop a couple bags of green tea in the water and try dabbing on some olive oil.

But the best quick-fix for razor burn I've ever found is Visine. Try it! Since it's designed to be sensitive enough for your eyes, it soothes your skin ever so gently.

How much does an epilator run for? I tried waxing completely down there once, and while it worked great, (smooth for a month, no bumps) it severely bruised me. it made me feel really anxious and nauseated too.

I have the same problem....and shaving is the worst and wax is always soooo messy. Recently this year, my friend mentioned this product called Moom. I'm actually going to do a blog review on it soon...but it is amazing. It is a natural "wax" that washes off with warm water. No mess what so ever. Even the hair strips are reusable. http://www.moom.com/

For razor burn, I found the best stuff is Kiehl's Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion...it makes the redness go away about an hour after you apply it. ♥♥♥

i also agree with the epilator, but you should have some painkillers in your system or have a model that has a massaging cap/attachment so it doesnt hurt as much, does the same thing as waxing...

before shaving I exfoliate using a face wash with salicylic acid like the Neutrogena ones with the little beads. i get way fewer bumps this way!

Be careful with the wax, I wax my own and it's actually pretty easy but you have to get into some crazy positions.... ;). Seriously, if you can, use hard wax...much less skin trauma...
